cheese powder..

I remember reading some of you were not impressed with honeyville cheese powder. Is there a brand of cheese powder for macaroni and cheese you can buy in bulk that stores well , tastes good and isnt full of chemicals and has some nutrition?

There are two kinds of powdered cheese out there packaged for long-term storage, or there appear to be. One type is labelled as "powdered cheddar cheese" or "powdered sharp cheddar cheese." The other type is labelled "cheese blend." It's the "cheese blend" (from Provident Pantry) that I found unsuitable for anything other than sprinkling on popcorn. I guess it's possible that both types are the same thing and that some companies just aren't particular in their labelling. I haven't tried to one labelled as powdered sharp cheddar cheese.

Considering how slow their delivery time is, I figure they probably ship by sherpa or pack mule. Maybe that's more expensive than UPS?
